A New Chapter: From VFX to ArchViz

Welcome to CDL Imaging!

Hello, and thank you for visiting! This space marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my creative journey. After years of working in visual effects, film, and games, I’ve decided to channel my expertise into a new field: architectural visualization.

In this introductory post, I’d like to share a bit about my background, why I’ve made this transition, and how my past experiences shape the services I am creating here.

My Journey in Visual Effects, Film, and Games

Nature’s Rebirth or Death to The Giants of Industry

For over seven years, I’ve had the privilege of working in industries that thrive on creativity, storytelling, and technical innovation. Whether it was crafting props, costumes, and immersive worlds for films, creating stunning visual effects, or developing detailed and interactive environments for games, my career has always been rooted in bringing ideas to life.

It is through these experiences, I’ve honed a deep understanding of lighting, composition, and storytelling—skills that are at the very heart of architectural visualization.

Why ArchViz?

The move to archviz feels like a natural evolution of my skills and passion. But, here’s what drew me to finally taking the leap:

  1. A New Canvas for Storytelling: Architecture tells its own story—about a space, purpose, and the people who will inhabit it. Visualizing these spaces allows me to explore a new kind of narrative.

  2. The Power of Realism: Archviz demands a balance between artistry and technical precision, which aligns perfectly with my background in environment art, rendering and animation.

  3. Creative Collaboration: I love working with designers, and other creative minds to turn their visions into visual works. Each project offers a fresh challenge and an opportunity to expand my skillset.

What I Bring to the Table

Transitioning from these industries means I bring a unique perspective to architectural visualization. Here’s what sets my work apart:

  • Cinematic Flair: My experience in film helps me create visuals that feel alive, using dynamic lighting, framing, and mood to evoke emotion.

  • Interactive Storytelling: From my work in games, I have learned to create immersive, interactive and VR experiences.

  • Attention to Detail: Years in VFX taught me the importance of precision and polish—every render is crafted to the highest standard.
